Dear Ms. Germanson:

Thanks you for the opportunity to read your book, Ouch!  Life can hurt, But Healing Is Your Choice.   We are impressed with the work you've done on making this resource available to educators, advocates and survivors.

Domestic Violence is a serious issue which affects all of our lives and communities. It is important to us not only to pass legislation which will give more funding and more legal rights to women who are survivors of domestic violence, but also to help raise awareness about this issue which affects us all. You are to be commended for the work you are doing not only to help survivors but to raise public awareness about family violence.

Your book is a vehicle for healing that can help many. This book will be useful for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in their personal healing  processes. We wish you the best of luck in helping survivors become "prevailers."

We hope that you are able to successfully distribute your book to those in need. Thank you again.

Sincerely,

Paul D. Wellstone
United States Senator
Sheila Wellstone
